Til Next Year

No one has enjoyed the tree more this year than our cat.  Every morning and every evening, you can find her in her chair watching the tree turn.  I would swear she even gets a bit miffed when we turn the lights off.  I don’t know what she’s going to do today when I dismantle it ornament by ornament!
(Her toy tied to the tree.)

It’s taken me about 3 days to take the decorations down, just taking my time and organizing as I go.  I always find it therapeutic, which I need once the holidays are over.

My creative juices are flowing this morning.  I decided to spice things up for the girls a bit.  I made heart shaped egg & cheese and triple berry (not mixed with the egg & cheese) pockets.  The oldest told me the small hearts on top looked like cat treats…really…

And just an FYI, this fruit filling from Kroger is pretty tasty stuff!  I usually buy the lemon or key lime, but I’ve found all are excellent and handy for a quick dessert!

Here’s to an enjoyable, relaxing upcoming weekend.
